When working with non-profits we always create intentional work. 

 

That's why we refer to films and videos as visual communication tools. Why? Because, well, that's what they are! Our goal isn't just to create a film, it's to empower non-profits to enhance their impact. Visual communication is just the tool we use to get that result. 

That means that there's a lot of thoughtful planning that has to go into each project we take on.

Work with us to improve your impact

1. Development & Discovery

Development is where we learn key details that shape the vision for the project. We start with your goals and work backwards. What are we trying to achieve, what message do we want to share, who needs to hear it, and what do we want them to do with that information?

 

This process lays the foundation for a successful project! 

By the end of development we share a Development Brief and Basic Project Proposal. Once approved, we move into pre-production!

Pre-production is when we create a clear vision for our project, a plan to bring that vision to life, and design an impact statement.

 

From defining goals and outputs to determining key distribution strategies to reach our audiences, everything is planned in detail.

 

We schedule shoots, hire talent, organize equipment, and make sure we're all on the same page heading into production.

 

By the end of pre-production we're fully set up to executive our combined vision.

2. Pre-Production

It's time to bring our creative vision to life! With the right talent in place, our production specialists capture the story with stunning visuals and prepare to enter post-production. By the end of production, all footage is captured and it's time to edit. 

3. Production

Our post-production specialists (editors, colourists, sound designers) craft the footage into a finished film or video. 

We work with your team to ensure the final edit reflects our pre-production planning.

We typically do one rounds of major revisions and one round of minor revisions. 

Once we have your sign off, it's time to distribute your media! 

4. Post-Production

It's time to roll out your project and use your visual assets to create real-world impact. 

If agreed upon in pre-production, our social media management team will market and handle your assets as planned, adjusting where needed to target our desired audience, expand reach and drive engagement. 

5. Delivery & Distribution

We always want to quantify the success of a project with you! Our team is able to develop an analysis and impact report if we have access to your statistics  or we can work with your team to analyze impact based on numbers you provide. We always discuss in detail so that we can keep driving impact on the next project! 

6. Debrief and Analysis

Our films are intended to drive change and connect people with your work. Whether your goal is advocacy for an environmental cause, to raise awareness for a socioeconomic issue or to raise funds for those in need, our films directly influence real-world action and campaigns. From full-scale documentaries to short impact films for non-profits, our storytelling knows no boundaries. We work with you to share your story so you can keep changing the world.
